Brendan McArthur

Brendan McArthur joined Retail Property Advisors as Vice President in 2024. A veteran in the commercial real estate industry with over 25 years of experience and a focus on the Western United States and Mexico, he handles corporate property acquisitions and dispositions, lease and ground lease negotiations and restructures, and out-parcel sales across multiple West Coast states.

Prior to joining RPA, Brendan played an integral role in JLL’s Capital Markets team where he specialized in the acquisition and disposition of underutilized land and development sites for corporate clients. Throughout his 17-year tenure at the firm, he participated in an extensive array of assignments, everything from vast land parcels exceeding 5,000 acres to compact urban infill sites of less than one acre. Additionally, Brendan successfully closed high-profile transactions for clients such as Toyota, Bank of America, General Motors, Kaiser Permanente, ExxonMobil, Chevron, Shell, and Procter & Gamble, among others.

Earlier in his career, Brendan was a Manager in the Finance Group at The Macerich Company, one of the nation’s leading owners, developers, and operators of regional shopping malls. His responsibilities included financial forecasting for development and redevelopment assets as well as securing over $2 billion in debt financing for various shopping centers.

Brendan began his real estate journey as a commercial broker with Koll Brokerage Services where he adeptly represented numerous Fortune 500 clients, including Bank of America and United Airlines, in lease and sale transactions.

Education

Brendan graduated magna cum laude from Husson University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and earned a Master of Science in Real Estate and Construction Management from Denver University.

Brendan resides in Southern California. He is a licensed real estate broker in California and Idaho as well as a licensed salesperson in Nevada.
